YOUR Experience

Working with ME

Relaxed, natural, and led by your family — just as it should be.

Every family is different — and your session will be, too. There’s no pressure to perform, no rigid plan to follow. These sessions are designed to feel calm, joyful, and totally unique to you.

If there are little ones, expect play, movement, and lots of in-between magic — your toddler running into your arms, soft cuddles, curious hands, spontaneous laughter. I’ll follow their lead, capturing the story as it naturally unfolds.

Want a few “formal” family portraits too? Absolutely. We can weave those in gently, without losing the relaxed flow. Every session can be a mix of softly posed frames and beautifully candid moments — it all depends on your vision, your dynamic, and how the day feels.

There’s no need to plan every detail ahead of time. I’ll guide you where needed and read the room gently. Whether we’re capturing a slow Sunday morning at home or golden-hour play in the fields, your session will feel personal, easy, and full of heart.

Because the best photos don’t just show how your family looked — they show the love, laughter, and connection you felt.

FAQ

01. How do I book you for the PHOTOSHOOT?

I would love to hear what I can do for you! To book a session, or just chat to me, you can fill out my contact form, or contact me on Instagram @familyartstudiocotswolds

02. Do you travel for sessions?

Yes, I often travel for photoshoots! I'm based in Chipping Norton, but I go all over Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, and surrounding areas. Just let me know what you're thinking and we can work something out!

03. What should we wear for our family photo session?

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident! Light, bright colours tend to photograph beautifully and help create a fresh, timeless look. Coordinating tones works great, and it’s best to avoid large logos or busy patterns. I'd love to chat through your vision and talk fashion choices before the session—I’m here to help!

04. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our session?

If we're shooting outdoors and the weather isn’t cooperating, we can reschedule for a better day at no extra cost. Alternatively, we can explore indoor options, or embrace the weather, if you'd prefer to keep the original date. I always aim to be flexible and make the experience as smooth as possible.
